In LA a company has started putting up vending machines which dispense medicinal marijuana. The machine is an omnious looking black fridge that is posted up in Herbal Nutrition Centers. It requires fingerprint scans and an ID card for access. Saves the folks who need it from having to crawl across town on a trek and the machines are locked up and locked down when the stores close. Neat concept, saves a little bit on theft, and a lotta bit on staffing.

which is pretty nifty for the paranoid. If you ever think someone has rigged a wireless camera somewhere, turn this bad boy on and it’ll set off an audio and visual alarm. I wanted one cuz I’m a little protective of self, but you might hafe a really good reason too.
So the brilliant minds at Charter Communications seem to have had a little accident. 14,000 active email accounts were 86′d earlier this week. Helluva typo in the code I’d say. So the compensation to those affected is a $50 credit.
All those very upset tens of thousands of people are probably not going to be appeased by 50 bucks, but hey, thats what they are getting.
