Finally went thru all the PHP in the header and footer and stripped it down to HTML…now the load times on the site should not be so long anymore.  We may have lost part of our handful of readers due to that, but I hope people are really not that impatient.

Since most of the information circling around has been a bit boring, I spent the day cleaning up code and moving things around. For a second I thought about putting a Feedburner subscribers link on the page, until I saw this:
