iCap

icap-mp3-player
At some point we have all wondered it, when can I get an MP3 player that I can put in my hat? We of course quickly wrote this off as silly and moved on with our lives. Not the folks at Gesten, who decided to run with it and create the iCap.
If your goal is to jam out with a goofy looking contraption on your head, then the iCap is for you. $99.95 gets you a heavy hat with only 1GB worth of storage.

*EDIT: The folks at Gesten have informed me that I misread the specs for the product. It has a Micro SD Card Slot (Supports up to 8 GB). The product is set to be released in March 09.

We all love the web and would like to put our stamp on it somewhere, some of us are just better at putting websites together than others. Because of this, a bunch of folks took the time out to build some services to help out the less apt. It’s probably been a bit since someone laid out all the newer services, so here is a list:

Wix – We carved out an entry about these kids way back. Really easy flash based websites. Use your domain.

Weebly – Simplified interface. Blog option was pretty straightforward and effective. Offers hosting, free redirection to your domain.

Kontain – Not the fastest to load. Doesn’t feel personal. Crowded with branded ads. Its still in alpha, so there is plenty of time for improvements.

Snappages – Simple, drag and drop. Offers paid and free services. Easy to use. Hosting provided free for a basic account.

Squarespace – Big name of the bunch. Looks as good as (or better than) a WordPress install if blogging is the idea. Smooth to setup. Free domain mapping if you already have one.

New Launch – Takes a hair longer to setup, but the templates are more detailed. Packed with options. Free site is very limited, paid plans offer redirection. Comparable upgrade charges with the rest.

All of these services can get you fresh website in a few minutes, most of them fairly stunning. But some folks don’t need all the bells and whistles, and at least one of these could be your cake.

Working on a Side Project

One thing we do not like is physical labor. Having recently been subjected to this, neither of us has really wanted to anything other than sit down and do nothing. There is no apology for the hiatus, just lethargy in it.
Instead of just throwing out a sympathy entry we just wanted to share the first Battlestar Galactica webisode http://www.scifi.com/rewind/?sid=870861&eid=873302
