Either Get Over Twitter Or Go Running Back Into Its Arms

….but you do not have to keep rattling on about it.
We all know my personal stance on Twitter. I have not had the pleasure of introducing new posts the past few days because the only news I can scrounge up is about Twitter, FriendFeed (mostly just comparisons to Twitter), and Doctor Who. The rest of the folks around here cannot stand the service either, so why doesn’t everyone make a decision and hush up about it.

Geez, want some real news people. Now you guys have made me write about the bloody service again.

***Totally awesome first part to the Series Four finale and even though I can sort of tell what is probably going to happen, I cannot stop scrounging the net for more spoilers Saturday night the local airdate for the last episodes feels so far away.

But seriously, slim down on the Twitter chatter….I still have a laser screwdriver laying around here and I am not afraid to use it.

Spam annoyed me so much that I signed up for Disqus comments. It seems promising and much more interactive.

Thank Mashable for the convincing.

Impressive Argument Against OpenID

Thursday May 8, 2008

I had OpenID setup on this site for a week. After I installed it wrong and got a bunch of errors, I reinstalled and it seemed to work fine after a few days. Then Mr Tsali kept getting errors with it and I let it go, since he was my first loyal reader. I signed up for an OpenID on a third party website and used it a whole one time because it took more steps to log into things. Warpspire has a detailed account of the general feelings I have about the current state of OpenID.

I Don’t Give a Damn About Twitter

Wednesday May 7, 2008

Yes I said it, and I’ll say it again.  I don’t give a damn about Twitter.

Twitter is one of those services that has blown up in the geek world with people posting something going on the very second they decide to do it. Maybe its just that I am not nosy enough to be excited when someone tweets that they just bought someones new album (considering how nosy I am that makes the service quite creepy).  I really do not care what you are having for dinner.

I initially saw what Twitter was designed to do and thought it was silly, then tons of bloggers I follow regularly were assimilated into the Twitter fold.  I signed up to check out the hype machine and I’m just annoyed I spent the time signing up.  I actually signed in and tweeted  (o that term grates my nerves) something to see if the experience would keep me from posting this. Nope.

Oh well, still don’t care about Twitter. Guess I’m just not “geek” enough to hang.

A Little Humor Since We Are Naked

Wednesday Apr 9, 2008

Since its CSS Naked Day, in our vulnerability a cat pic is somewhat appropriate.

About as low budget as we look today.
