One of the services listed on the infamous “this sucks” list by Scobleizer, Kadoo is meant for you to share…stuff. This sharing can also be linked to your Facebook account in some fashion which I am not enthused enough to test. I do not think the site sucks, its just dripping with beta juice.
For some reason once someone shares something with you, it goes on a list of things shared to you and just hangs out, forever. The items on the list have checkboxes on the left which I assumed were meant to mark them as read. I must have assumed wrong because I have no clue if the checkboxes do anything at all. Even though there is a way to select all, there are no action buttons and the items just remain checked for NO REASON.
The service includes a list of folks “you may also know”, which seems creepy when you have first signed up and the only contact you have is the staff member that sent you an invite.
Beta weirdness aside, the GUI looks easily managed by a beginner. With 10GB of storage available for whatever you want to share (bookmarks, videos, photos, docs), its not a bad deal overall. The homepages actually look nice an minimal and the site overall does not make my eyes bleed. If you have a cousin/friend or something that is not very savvy and wants to share stuff easily, Kadoo is pretty good. Otherwise, there are better options out there.
Have about 90+ invites if you really want to play with it. Code: savorymusic
Update: Due to recent comments and checking out the site again (Trying to anyway). Nevermind.Tried to give them a benefit of the doubt look, but Scoble was on the money.
