Wix is a place where you can pimp out a website in a few minutes and make it quite pretty. The only real difference of note between this and other sites like Weebly, is that Wix comes across as if it feels the need to dress up in a new outfit to go to work.
Something about the shiny, new car smell having, bright interface is a bit off putting. Unfortunately it fits with the demographic they are going for, promising Free MySpace layouts in the headline of the editor. As nice as the site is, one cannot help but think about how the service is contributing to the ugly parts of the internet. If it is simple to add a load of flash/slideshows/junk to your site and the web page that serves it caught your eye due to its good looks, then your site must look great, no?
This is one of those websites that you hope does not pick up in popularity not because of the service it provides, but because it is geared toward MySpace users (the ones who you would definitely never let decorate your house).

Having said that, it will probably make quite a few Graphic Designers do a happy dance.
